New Windscreen Tinting Rules For Malaysian Cars
Current JPJ ruling stated that the Darkness of the window tinting are 30% for the front windscreen, 50% for driver's row side windows, and 70% for the rear passengers' side windows and rear windscreen but right now has change to the new rules stating that from rear passengers' side windows to rear windscreen the darkness of the tint could go up to 100% darkness but condition only for private vehicles.
The darkness up to 100% for all windscreens need to be apply for special reason only either safety or health factors. A service charges of RM50 of each application submitted and each approval application will be charged RM5,000. Each approval grant you a period of 2 years and it will need to be re-apply again when its expired.
